Koshchey’s Cry
I lay in my bed
the window rattling
it blew open
an icy cold wind
blew into my room
hovering like a vapour
I lay paralysed
with fear
a hideous creature
began to emerge
it coiled itself
around me
I felt the scales
of a snake
on my skin
and claws
about my wrists
I felt his tongue
at my neck
and heard a
blood curdling cry
it was Koshchey
the Terrible
come to spirit
me away.

This is terrifying and brilliant Megan. What an image you have created. Whooo! I don't want to be visited by him any time soon.
This is chilling!
Oh that's good! I love the stacked words, almost like a snake itself. Creepy yet poetic.
Yes, that is how it was. It gives me chills to remember.
